PURPOSE:To ensure stable negative triboelectrifiability of a toner with a triboelectric charge imparting member, such as a developing sleeve or a blade, by incorporating a specified boron compound as a negative charge controller. CONSTITUTION:The toner comprising a binder resin and a colorant contains as the negative charge controller at least one kind of the boron compounds represented by formulae I - III, thus permitting triboelectrification between each other toner particles or between the one-component type toner particles and the electric charge imparting member, such as a developing sleeve or a blade, to be stabilized and sharp and uniform in its distribution and to be controlled to a charge amount adapted to the developing method to be used. |
