PURPOSE:To confirm the contours of internal organs at a short distance without moving the eyes from an examined person and a detector by incorporating a flat plate type image display element in a surface other than the detection surface of a detector or a detector support arm. CONSTITUTION:The flat plate type image display element 7 of a liquid crystal display element is incorporated in the flank of a remote controller 2 or the detector 1 or the tip of the detector support arm part 6, etc., or carried alone freely and the element is placed in a free place above a bed and used. The element 7 is lightweight and small in capacity, so the shape of its fitting part need not be altered and there is no spatial trouble when the detector 1 is positioned. In either case, the detector 1 is nearby the examined person and controller 2 for a monitor display when viewed from an operator, so the eyes need not be moved large at the time of the positioning of the detector 1, the operation is performed efficiently, and misoperation is reduced.
