PURPOSE:To automatically correct the time of the electronic timepiece by utilizing the time identified by receiving the standard time indicating the present time. CONSTITUTION:A standard radio wave receiving circuit 7 receives the standard radio waves indicating the present time, outputs the time and supplies the time to a voice recognizing circuit 8 in response with a timing signal when a timing circuit 10 generates the timing signal periodically by the reference clock supplied from a reference clock generating circuit 1. An automatic time correcting circuit 9 corrects the information on the hour, minute and second generated by an hour generating circuit 2, a minute generating circuit 3 and a second generating circuit 4 in accordance with the identified time when the circuit 8 identifies the received time and delivers the identified time to the circuit 9. The exact time is displayed on an hour, minute and second display part 5. |
