PURPOSE:To omit the complicated correcting jobs by deciding tentatively the sizes of each row and column in response to the arrangement of the text data on other cells included in the same row and column as a designated cell and correcting partly the size of the row or the column in accordance with the overflow of the text data. CONSTITUTION:A document processing program including a table frame shaping command is stored in an area 6a of a storage part 6. At the same tuem, an area 6b of the part 6 stores the document data (incl. table data) produced by the document processing program stored in the area 6a. Both areas 6c and 6d of the part 6 serve as the work memories. When a cell is designated and the change of the size of this cell is desired, a CPU 2 decides tentatively the size of each row and column in response to the arrangement of the text data on other cells included in the same row and column as the designated cell. Then the CPU 2 corrects partly the size of the row or the column including the designated cell in accordance with the overflow of the text data on each cell. As a result, a table producer can shape a table frame so as to secure the proper arrangement of data without repeating the complicated correcting jobs. |
