PURPOSE:To accomplish an efficient allocating operation by displaying a basic pattern in a display system different from the system of an allocated image on a screen for layout where the allocating operation is performed. CONSTITUTION:The basic pattern is superimposed and displayed on the screen for layout. Namely, the basic pattern is displayed with the arranged image on the 2nd display area 12 of a display device 10. Since they are respectively displayed in the different display systems, an operator can respectively and separately recognize that one is the basic pattern and the other is the allocated image even though they are superimposed and displayed on the same display area. Therefore, the operator decides the allocating position of the merchandise information by referring to the basic pattern at a stage where the allocated image is formed. Thus, the layout based on the basic pattern is easily performed.
