PURPOSE:To obtain a cable adjusting device of a rear wheel steering mechanism safe for an electric failure by connecting a solenoid valve which is demagnetized to connect a clutch cut-off actuator and an oil source when a play mechanism is not operated between the clutch cut-off actuator and the oil source. CONSTITUTION:When a play mechanism a is operated, a shaft connected to one vale element of a control valve B is rotated and connected to a shaft 9 of a lever 9a connected to a remote cable by a spring clutch C. When a solenoid valve 85 is demagnetized during non-operation of the play mechanism A, pressure oil from an oil pump 26 is supplied through the solenoid valve 85 to a clutch cut-off actuator E to cut off the spring clutch C. Accordingly, the lever 9a is rotated by the action of a slackness removing spring to tense the remote cable. During steering of a rear wheel 2, the play mechanism A is in the operating state, and the solenoid valve 85 is demagnetized to connect the spring clutch C, so that even if an electric failure occurs, no problem is caused. |
