PURPOSE:To accurately detect the coating condition of a seal material and enable judgement as to acceptance or rejection thereof by providing an image pickup means, an arithmetic means and a judgement means. CONSTITUTION:A TV camera 3 picks up the crown part of a cell 1 as a seal material coated surface, and the video signal thereof is inputted to an image processing part 5 wherein an image is processed. The image processing part 5 comprises an arithmetic part 9 for dissolving the video signal into a plurality of picture elements for the division thereof into bright and dark field portions, and operating the ratio of the division, a data setting part 10 for storing a ratio of brightness to darkness in the standard cell 1, a comparison part 11 for comparing the operation result of the arithmetic part 9 with the data in the setting part 10 for making judgement as to whether the comparison result is within a set range, and a monitor TV 12, respectively. Furthermore, when the comparison part 11 judges heat the result is unacceptable, the judgement output therefrom actuates a discharge mechanism 7 and in other cases, the cell 1 is carried on a line 2 to a next process. |
