PURPOSE:To obtain a discharge-in-gas type display panel with little distribution of the size in thickness direction by simultaneously forming an insulating diaphragm and a frame for sealing by thick film printing method using a glass frit and forming a sealing material layer by thick film printing method using a glass frit having lower melting point than previous one. CONSTITUTION:An insulating diaphragm 8 and a frame 8a for sealing are formed simultaneously by thick film printing method using a glass frit and sintered and a sealing material layer 9 is formed on the obtained frame 8a for sealing by thick film printing method using a glass frit having a lower melting point than the glass frit used in preparation of the insulating diaphragm 8 and the frame for sealing 8a. Since the insulating diaphragm 8 and the frame for sealing 8 are formed simultaneously, the thickness of both is made almost the same. Further, since the sealing material layer 9 is formed by thick film printing method using the glass frit having lower melting point than the glass frit used for the insulating diaphragm 8 and the frame for sealing 8a, the width and thickness of the sealing material layer 9 are made precise and the insulating diaphragm 8 is not melted at sealing time. A discharge-in-gate type display panel with little distribution of the size in the thickness direction is thus obtained. |
