PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous printing such as a dot line shift from being outputted as it is and to improve the reliability by providing a checking data pattern generating circuit, its detecting circuit and a comparator and executing a check at the time of printing a latent image of a pattern. CONSTITUTION:A checking data pattern generating circuit 8 adds '0' of a dot number portion by the subtraction of a designated correction portion from the maximum correction quantity to the correction portion part of a data pattern by designating a horizontal direction position adjusting circuit 7-3. Subsequently, code data (a) is brought to dot expansion by a dot expansion control part 2 and printing data (b) where '0' data is added is written in dot line buffers 3-1/3-2, and when data editing of a line portion is ended, an LED assembly 7-1 is transferred. Thereafter, when a latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum 7-4, a pattern detected by a data pattern detecting circuit 9 is compared with a pattern from the circuit 8 with the comparator 10 and at the time of discordance, an alarm signal (f) is issued. |
