<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a board having improved hygroscopicity, fire resistance, heat-insulation, sound-proofing property, heat and cold-keeping property and flexural strength by adding gypsum and coal ash to a mixture of alkali-treated straw and water, forming the mixture in a press mold and curing and drying the formed product. CONSTITUTION:Straw is immersed and boiled in an alkaline aqueous solution, separated by filtration and washed to obtain fibrous straw. The straw is mixed with water and the obtained mixture is further mixed with gypsum and coal ash. The produced composition is poured into a press mold, formed under a load while removing excess water, released from the mold, cured and finally dried to obtain a board having a performance superior to the flame-retardant class-1 gypsum board.</p> |
