<p>PURPOSE:To suppress surge produced through open/close operation of a switch and to obtain a small, inexpensive gas insulator having high insulation reliability by applying epoxy resin onto the outer circumferential face of a high voltage conductor then laminating magnetic powder thereon thereafter laminating a multitude of layers of epoxy resin and magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic unit 10 is arranged around a high voltage conductor 3 connected with the connecting conductor 7 of an insulating spacer 2. In the magnetic unit 10, epoxy resin is applied with adequate thickness onto the outer circumferential face of the high voltage conductor 3 and magnetic powder is laminated thereon. A multitude of layers of epoxy resin and magnetic powder are laminated alternately within such range as causing no trouble of dielectric strength. By such arrangement, sharp surge can be suppressed effectively when a switch such as a disconnecting switch is opened or closed, resulting in a highly reliable gas insulated unit.</p> |
