The signals for the image are fed to a main screen input selector (510) and the inset screen output selector (511). The partial screen data from the output selector are fed to the 'Picture In Picture' PIP - circuit (514) together with the main image data from the luminance and chrominance processor (512). A microcomputer (600) controls two tuners (650, 660), the PIP circuit (514) and the 'On Screen Display' - OSD - circuit (610). The output of the OSD circuit is fed to a mixer (620) together with the PIP circuit output. The mixer output is the required PIP video signal.
