PURPOSE:To prevent overcurrent and step-out by setting output frequencies of both inverters connected with stator and rotor windings to the same value and closing the inverters at the time of starting an AC motor and by gradually raising output voltages of the inverters from zero and vicinity, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Respective output voltage and output frequency variable type inverter apparatus 2 and 3 are connected with stator and rotor windings. Power is supplied to the inverter apparatus 2, 3 in a state where output frequencies fs and fr of both inverter apparatus are set to the same value by the control of a starting controller 5. Output voltages Vs, Vr of the inverter apparatus are controlled so as to gradually rise from about zero to a preset reference value. Thus, it is possible to prevent overcurrent and step-out. |
