NEW MATERIAL:An artificial functional polypeptide comprising polypeptide molecule containing peptide having cell adhesion activity. USE:Enhances affinity between functional polypeptide such as hormone relating to propagation or differentiation of cell and cell, enhances functionality of drug. PREPARATION:A DNA coding peptide having cell adhesion activity is inserted into a DNA coding other polypeptide and manifested in a host cell transformed with plasmid vector containing said DNA. Besides, e.g. protein A is used as objective compound and preferably manifested with colibacillus, etc.
