Locking device for grating of basement light-well - consists of screwed rod with flat disc attached to upper end
摘要
The light-well of a basement window is covered with a metal grating. The grating is held in place by a screwed rod (2) which has a circular plate fixed to its upper end. The lower end of this rod is secured by two nuts (5) to a first bracket (3). This first bracket is secured by a screw (4) to a second bracket (1) which is fixed to the wall of the light-well. The rod (2) fits between the bars of the grating with the plate abutting against the upper surfaces of the grating bars. A peg (6) projecting downwards from the circular plate is inserted between two adjacent bars and prevents the rod (2) from being unscrewed from the nuts (5). USE - Prevention of break-in through grating and basement window.
