Producing prodn. of veneered furniture boards - by gluing wood strips to board edges

The method is for mfr. of furniture boards. The boards may be particle-boards either veneered or with decorative film overlays and profiled edges. The method involves gluing strips (2) of real wood on at least two opposite edges of the particle board (1) before the veneer (3) or overaly is applied to the board (1). Then the whole surface of the particle board (1), including the wood strips (2) is coated with veneer (3) or overlay, and then the desired profiling is done in the edge region. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved method of prodn. for furniture boards, with reduced danger of veneer or overlay coming loose in the edge region.
