The gun type tool is used for applying adhesive or silicone paste to packing material such as cartons or bags. The tool has a barrel (9) with a nozzle (17) attached to one end. The barrel receives a cartridge (15) containing the adhesive or silicone paste and the contents of the cartridge are forced out through the nozzle (17) by means of a piston (7). This piston can be actuated either manually or by compressed air. The piston is actuated manually by means of a lever (2) which imparts a stepwise motion to the piston. The piston can be actuated by compressed air which is controlled by means of a valve (12) fitted in the gun handle. USE - Applying adhesive or sealing compounds.
