The sitting surface of a seat for motor vehicles consists of the basic seat (1a) side bulges (1b) and side ends (1c). The parts (1) laid in the foaming mould for backfilling with PU foam (4) can be made of cloth, plastics or leather. A perspiration mat (2) and a PU foil (3) cover the (1a) area, and a lining (8) the (1b) area. Textile strips (6a,6b,6c) through which the PU foam can penetrate, are sewn in by quilted seams (5a,5b,7) to add to the stability of the foam structure. ADVANTAGE - This creates a vehicle seat with a functionally better design.
