OUTER FIXATOR FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF SMALL AND MIDDLE BONES

The external fixator is intended for fixation of fractures and optimal setting of bone fragments before fracture fixation with the possibility of implementation of compression or distraction of bone fragments and rotation of fixed fractures in joints. Every part of the fixator forms a solid whole during these actions. The flat carrier (1) with a longitudinal groove in the axis of the fixator for holders (2) of the Kirschner wires (18) forms the bearing structure of the fixator; the holders (2) are adjustable and, at the same time, they form a guide for collaring of the Kirschner wire into bones. At least two flat carriers (1) are connected by means of the bolts (6), joint (9) and compression-distraction mechanism (8), which are placed in the longitudinal axis of the fixator. The final mutual optimal position is secured by fastening of all the bolts of the connecting parts.<IMAGE>
