Method of welding functional surfaces with curved profiles by means of electric arc, mainly of functional surfaces of teeth automatically or semi-automatically in vertical position by means of cooled forming adapter, which is shifted from the bottom position to the top position in the direction of the weld height with overrun of its upper edge before the melt level. Before welding the functional surface of the forming adapter is equipped with a layer of heat-resistant paste.
