SELF-EXTINGUISHING LAMINATED MATERIAL WITH POLYAMIDE REINFORCEMENT

The composition of a self-extinguishing layered material on the base of a polyamide reinforcement with low specific weight, designed primarily for electrotechnical purposes. The self-extinguishing layered material apart from good reinforcement - binding material interaction achieves the level of V-O self-extinguishing class according to the UL-94 method. It shows a high resistance against cracking and a good workability. The polyamide reinforcement with surface density from 100 to 350 gm<-2> is impregnated to a content of 40 to 80 percent by weight of dried binding matter, consisting of 100 weight parts of brome epoxy resin of bisphenyl type with weight epoxy equivalent equalling 300 to 750, of 0.1 to 10 weight parts of antimony trioxide, of 7 to 35 weight parts of aromatic diamine and of 0.1 to 10 weight parts of methylol compounds of phenols with molecular weight of 124 to 233.
