The brake block is equipped with front recesses (2) and upper recesses (5) that serve for precise fixation of reinforcing steel insert (3) during moulding of the brake blocks. When the moulding process is finished, the ends of the reinforcing steel insert (3) protrude from the front recesses (2). The solution can be used in all places, where brake blocks of divided brake shoes of track vehicles are produced by moulded with horizontal mould parting.<IMAGE>
