The solution concerns a division of material with round cross-section by means of parting tools. These tools are firmly clamped in slide, which is positioned in grooves created in inwards direction in a rotor of a rotating head. On the rotor a ring is moving, which is equipped with conical projectures, on which there are guiding surfaces for pulleys that are attached on the above mentioned slide with clamped tools. The axial movement of the ring results in movement of slide in inwards direction, thus forcing the tools into bite. The device can be used everywhere where it is necessary to part materials of round cross-section, mainly tubes, for example for production of hydraulic cylinders, bearings etc.<IMAGE>
