The connection concerns the electric controller of the water turbine, which is equipped with a model block. The input of the model block (4) is connected with the output of the speed controller (1) of the turbine. The output of the model block (4) is connected via the sequencer (5) with the frequency converter (2). The output of the frequency converter (2) is connected with the input of the speed controller (1) of the turbine. The signal from the speed controller (9), which operates according to the received commands, passes into the model block (4). The model block (4) simulates the real behaviour of the turbine with the generator. The transition processes are monitored on indicators of speed and turbine opening and the failure corresponding to the part of the electric regulator of the water turbine, possibly failure of the hydraulic part of the control system, is determined. It can be used during control of water turbines.<IMAGE>
