<p>Mixture is made of polycrystalline LiF whose particles have diameter 0.04 mm with powdered P.T.F.E. in ratio of 1:5-1:3% by wt. Mixture is compressed, filtered and detached in form of strips 5 to 50 mm long and 0.1 to 1 mm thick. Discs are stamped from strips after heating for 10 to 60 min. at 350 degrees C. Applications and advantages are measuring ionising rays from 1 m rad to 1000 rad by thermoluminescence.</p> |
