The invention relates to a sealing device between a tank body support element and the cladding jacket of the tank in which the support element is fixed to the tank body and to the chassis of the road gear and traverses cut-outs formed in the cladding jacket. The said device comprises: - a seal 40, made by moulding a thermoplastic synthetic material and having a generally S-shaped cross-section, the said seal comprising a central branch 48 and an internal branch 46 and folded back like a hair pin, and a flexible lip 50 folded back parallel to the said branches on the side opposite from the internal branch 46, the edge of the cut-out formed in the jacket being embedded between the central branch 48 and the lip 50; - and at least one profiled flange 54 integral with the support element and intended to be embedded between the central branch and the internal branch of the seal. <IMAGE>
