The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing wooden structures, and particularly for manufacturing trusses for the industrial production of frameworks, using a set of base plates which can move independently of one another over the floor, so as to support, mainly at their intersection, the wooden chords composing a truss during their assembly by means of suitable metal connectors, the system for stabilising the said base plate, with respect to the ground being characterised in that it includes at least one suction device 20 the surface area of which is sufficient for the moment of the vertical attraction force acting at the base of the base part 1, and which results from the vacuum created for this purpose between the floor and the said device 20, to at least balance out the moment of the substantially horizontal forces which are applied towards the top of the base part 1. The field of the invention is particularly that of the industrial manufacture of wooden structures such as trusses for frameworks, or the field of the manufacture of metal frameworks, and any field requiring the use of large-size positioning jigs with removable immobilisation of pieces to be assembled. <IMAGE>
