PURPOSE:To obtain liposome whose preparation is simple and having high sensitivity to pH by using solely an acidic ester of a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid having at least 2 carboxyl groups and tocopherol or together with lipids as membrane components. CONSTITUTION:Solely an acidic ester (ester having not esterified carboxylic group as a free acid form and not forming salt) of an aliphatic carboxylic acid having at least 2 carboxyl groups (C8 compounds having >=2 carboxyl groups in main chain of the compound e.g. malonic acid, succinic acid, and the like) and tocopherol (alpha-tocopherol is preferable among alpha,beta,gamma-tocopherol) or together with lipids of phospholipids such as phosphatidylethanolamine, steroids is formed to be a membrane and thus a liposome is obtained. The liposome can contain an aqueous solution or aqueous suspension containing pharmaceuticals and labelled substances, has high pH sensitivity and is easy to prepare. |
