PURPOSE:To obtain the subject cellulose in high conversion with a culture medium readily preparable. the carbon source inexpensively preparable as a major component, utilizing the by-products, by using a culture medium containing thermally denatured cellulase. CONSTITUTION:In the biosynthesis of cellulose using a microorganism, a culture medium containing thermally denatured cellulase is used to give cellulose. The culture medium is preferably employed by hydrolyzing cellulose with celIulase and subjecting the product to thermal denaturation. |
