PURPOSE:To make absolute value foulness evaluation possible by using jointly a gas sensor and a photoelectric dust sensor with a switching means provided therebetween. CONSTITUTION:An indication is made of the degree of room foulness by the output signal from a gas sensor stepwise through lamps 41-46 consisting of light emitting diodes. As the degree of room foulness is increased, the lamps are lighted in numerical order starting with the lamp 41 and, at the time or the max. degree of the foulness, all of the six lamps 61-66 are lighted. To improve the level of detection sensitivity of a photoelectric dust sensor 22, the air flow Q produced by a sirocco fan 8 is made to pass through the part of an air purifier at which the photoelectric dust sensor 22 is located, whereby the foul air in a room is drawn by this sensor 22. The foulness indicating lamps 41-46 are lighted according to the degree of the foulness using output signals from a gas sensor 47. |
