The present invention relates to: A hi-fi loudspeaker characterised by a very different diaphragm 1 which, in construction, consists of a flexible and resistant nylon or allied plastic disc 1 fixed at the circumference to a rigid plastic annulus 2 of round cross-section. This device is characterised by threaded-shanked hooks 4 with brace 5 and nuts 6 enabling the diaphragm 1 to be tightly tensioned and this tension to be adjusted by pulling the diaphragm against the support ring 3. This device consists of a lightweight and rigid tube 7 which transmits the pulses from the motor 8 to the centre of the diaphragm 1 to which the tube is fixed by a 3 millimetre duralumin bolt 10. <IMAGE>
