The invention relates to a syringe protection device which is intended to facilitate the preparation of the injections and to eliminate the risk of pricking injuries to nursing staff as well as the possible recovery of the used syringes. It consists of a plastic tube in which the syringe can be held during preparation, while it is being carried to the patient and after the injection, eliminating the risk of accidental pricking injuries and recovery of used equipment. This casing comprises a semi-rigid plastic lip 2. A peel-off cap 1 or a self-locking screw-type stopper or a stopper applied by force on the top of the tube make it possible to provide this equipment with a sterile inner receptacle. The stoppers will than make it possible to guarantee the leakproofness of the assembly and prevent the recovery of the used syringes. In cases where this recovery does not constitute a risk, the device without a stopper is provided with a membrane pierced by the needle 4, which ensures leakproofness. This device can be adapted to the various syringe models by being provided in different sizes corresponding to the standardised models. This device is intended more particularly for use by nursing staff for preparation of injections, transportation and disposal of the syringes without risk of accidental pricking injuries. <IMAGE>
