<p>The oxidation of low molecular weight materials (e.g. carbon monoxide, hydrogen, hydrocarbons), can be carried out in a presence of a catalyst which comprises at least one precious metal (e.g. platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium or iridium) supported on a reducible metal oxide selected from Fe2O3, Ce2O3, ZrO2, CuO, rare earth metal oxides, MnO2, V2O5 and Cr2O3. Optionally the active catalyst (precious metal and reducible metal oxide) can be associated with an inert support, such as carbon cloth.</p> |
