The wheel suspension has a lower link arm (3) and a vertically arranged leaf spring (4), to guide the wheel. The leaf spring, which consists of two spring leaves (9,10), is fixed at its lower end to the wheel stub axle (2) and at its upper end to the vehicle body (7) above the wheel. The clearance between the leaves is fixed at the end connections. A pneumatically and/or hydraulically controlled expansion device (11) is fitted between the leaves. USE/ADVANTAGE - The lead spring guides and supports the vehicle wheel and can damp vibrations.
