The safety device allows automatic cut-out of the drive when an obstacle is detected in the movement path. It uses an optical fibre (2) coupled to a light source and a photodetector, with the signal provided by the latter evaluated, to initiate the cut-out or automatic reversal of the drive. The optical fibre (2) is acted on by tensioning elements (4) at localised points, coupled to a lever mechanism (5) which projects into the movement path of the window or sunroof. Pref. the tensioning elements (4) are provided as wire loops passed around the optical fibre (2). ADVANTAGE - Increased sensitivity. |
