PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection by constituting a cleaning member of an elastic member which is bent to get over a stopper member when being rotated and driven by a driving part and can be moved a sufficient length below a developer detecting means by its own bending elastic pressure after getting over the stopper member. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning member 21 consists of a bendable elastic member, and a stopper member 22 is arranged just above a developer detecting means 20 in the rotation direction of the cleaning member 21. Though the driving source of the cleaning member 21 is stopped just after the cleaning member 21 gets over the stopper member 22, the cleaning member 21 can be moved a sufficient length below the developer detecting means 20 by the bending elastic pressure generated between the member 21 and the stopper member 22, and the cleaning member 21 is not stopped on the surface of the developer detecting means 22 or a short length below the developer detecting means 22. Consequently, developer on the developer detecting means 22 is free from develope gaps due to the cleaning member 21. Thus, erroneous detection is prevented. |
