PURPOSE:To perform the voice quality conversion of user's choice in real time by providing a voice quality converting means which outputs a decoded voice waveform while thinning or interpolating it at every sampling interval. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit MCU reads an encoded voice from a first memory M1 with one frame as the unit to transfer it to a second memory M2 and sets thinning or interpolation and its sampling interval. One-frame components of the encoded voice transferred to the second memory M2 are decoded to a voice waveform by a decoding part DEC and are stored in a third memory M3. A voice quality converting part VCC thins or interpolates the voice waveform read out from the third memory M3 in accordance with the sampling interval set by the control circuit MCU to change the pitch of the voice, thereby converting the voice quality. Thus, voice quality conversion of user's choice is performed in real time. |
