Reducing noise from cine cameras - involves applying fibre coating to inside surfaces

The method enables reduction of the noise generated by a cinematographic camera or a cinematographic projector which has a film transport system which operates either continuously or intermittently. The method consists of covering at least a part of the inside surfaces of the camera with a coating of fibres. The fibre coating is applied to a part of the film transport mechanism and to at least a part of the housing of the film transport mechanism. The fibre coating is also applied to the interior of any attached film cassette. USE - Cinematographic cameras and projectors noise reduction system.
