Furniture construction consists of a supporting panel (16) of a wooden material and a thinner panel of a hard material, typically siiica plate glass (10). The glass plate (10) is bonded to the wooden carrier (16) by a thermosetting transparent resin (12) typically acrylic, epoxy or polyester.
