The pipe bending machine has a screwed spindle (20) which engages a nut (100). The nut slides on two parallel guide bars (80) and is attached to a ram (92) which carries the bending tool (10). The bending tool is in the form of a circular segment with a circumferential groove (12) of semi-circular cross-section. This groove (12) receives the pipe (14) which is then bent to the required radius by the axial movement of the tool which forces the pipe between the two stops (86) which are mounted on pivots on the support (82). The screwed spindle (20) is driven through a gear train from a shaft which may be driven from a power drill (62). USE - Bending pipes.
