<p>A system for cleaning a printing press component circulates wash mixture around a path so that pressure of fluid in the supply line (12) can never exceed ambient pressure. This may be achieved by using a pump (P-1) disposed in the return line (11) rather than in the supply line (12). A spray arrangement for spraying wash mixture onto the component to be cleaned has nozzles that are in communication with a feed region (21, 22) and an isolation valve arrangement (SV-4) for in an open state permitting and in a closed state preventing fluid pressure transmission from the rest of the system to the feed region (21, 22). A pressure arrangement (C-1, C-2) modifies fluid pressure in the feed region when the isolation valve arrangement is in a closed state so that when the spray arrangement is being prepared for spraying, the pressure is increased above ambient pressure. At other times, the pressure may be below ambient pressure.</p> |
