PURPOSE:To obtain a large expanded displacement quantity and a high printing pressure of a piezoelectric actuator by applying bias to the electrode of a voltage value partial potential piezoelectric body of a negative electrode, when a voltage applied between the electrodes of a piezoelectric body is negative in polarity and the piezoelectric actuator is shrinking. CONSTITUTION:A circuit connecting a diode D3 and a voltage regulation diode D4 in series is connected in parallel between the electrodes of a piezoelectric body 3. Further, a voltage value set by the voltage regulation diode D4 is applied as a negative polarity voltage to the piezoelectric body. The diode D3 prevents a current from flowing into the the voltage regulation diode D4 at the time of charge. Then, a mechanism for setting the negative polarity voltage applied to the piezoelectric body 3 by the voltage regulation diode D4 and expanding the displacement of a dimensional distortion generated in the piezoelectric body 3 is provided at an apparatus. |
