发明名称 METHOD AND INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING SEA WIND
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the velocity and direction of the wind with simple device constitution by irradiating the sea surface with pulsed laser light and measuring laser scattered light in divided photodetection visual fields, and finding the intensity of the scattered light in each visual field. CONSTITUTION:When the laser light 5 of about 1,064 nm which is adjusted to a specific spot diameter irradiates the sea surface through high-energy laser mirrors 3 and 4, wave fronts are in shapes affected by the wind direction and wind velocity in the irradiation range of the laser light and the scattering intensity and direction dependency of the laser light 5 depend upon the wave front shapes. This sea surface scattered light 6 is guided in through a Schmidt Cassegrain SC telescope correcting plate 7 and made into parallel light through an SC telescope main mirror 8 and a subordinate mirror 9, and a collimator lens 11, light except light of about 1,064 nm is cut 13, and the image is formed at the position of an optical fiber array 14 through a collimator lens 12; and the visual field is divided into eight, photoelectric conversion 15 is performed, and the resulting signals are inputted to a signal processing, recording, and display device 16 to calculate the wind direction and velocity at the irradiating spot position by referring to a wind direction and velocity conversion table.
