PURPOSE:To easily detect the position of a contact or fine-gap I type butt weld joint which is precisely worked with high precisely by composing the sensor device of a composite sensor probe, a stabilized variable frequency, high-frequency power circuit, a bridge circuit, a differential amplifier circuit, a double phase synchronism detecting circuit, and a phase adjusting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The composite sensor probe 1 consists of two identical type solenoid sensing coils which are arranged closely to each other and connected differentially and electrically. The stabilized variable frequency, high-frequency power circuit 2 supplies a high frequency cuttent to the probe 1. The bridge circuit 3 couples a high-frequency power source with the probe 1. The differential amplifier circuit 4 amplifies the differential output signal of the probe 1. The double phase synchronism detecting circuit 5 detects the differential amplification output from two phase signals which are in phase with the high-frequency power source and has a pi/2 radian leading phase. The phase adjusting circuit 6 performs the phase-division mixing and adjustment of the two phase output signals obtained by the double phase synchronism detection. Consequently, the position of the joint for contact or fine-gap high-quality I type butt welding is detected and a control signal corresponding to displacement from the joint position is obtained with high precision. |
