<p>PURPOSE: To provide an effective method for laying and embedding a cable in shallow waters at low cost by using a ship like a cargo ship to be temporarily converted for cable laying so that a container, a laying machine, a control and arranging apparatus are attachable/detachable to/from the ship, and recyclable. CONSTITUTION: A ship 1 is temporarily converted for cable laying by providing an accommodation and a power module 3, a cable laying engine, a cable embedding machine 4, a side thruster 5, and a hawser winch for the embedding machine. A dancing sheave 7 supported by an existing jib 8 on the ship 1 is provided for cargo transfer, and two holds 2A, 2B are provided. The power and accommodation module 3 comprises an upper accommodation division including bed rooms, bath rooms, dining rooms, and toilets, and a lower power division including generators, air compressors, and hydraulic power sources, and the control system controls the devices.</p> |
