LUBRICANT FOR REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE:To provide a lubricant for refrigerator having an excellent compatibility with hydrofluorocarbon and a small moisture absorption by using a specified polyoxyalkylene glycol dialkyl ether as a main component and adjusting the kinetic viscosity to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant for refrigerator is prepd. by incorporating 80wt.% or more polyoxyalkylene glycol dialkyl ether of formula I (wherein 1<=(m)<=8; 1<=(n)<=8; 1<=(p)<=80; 0<=(q)<=60; gamma is 0 or 1; 2<=(m+n)<=9 and the relation of formula II must be satisfied) (e.g. formula III or IV) and adjusting the kinetic viscosity at 40 deg.C in a range of 6-500cst. The obtd. lubricant is characterized by complete compatibility with hydrofluorocarbon 134a at any mixing ration between -50 to 60 deg.C which is a serviceable temp. range for the lubricant for refrigerator.
