CLOSURE FOR OPTICAL CABLE

PURPOSE:To allow the opening of only the housing case of an arbitrary stage and to improve workability by connecting one transverse side of the surplus length housing cases by means of hinges and connecting the other side by means of opening/closing type connectors. CONSTITUTION:The surplus length housing cases 8 are stacked in multiple stages on a connecting plate 5 in a closure housing 1. The one transverse side of the respective stage is connected by the hinges 12 and the other side is connected by the opening/closing hinges 13 having attachable/detachable connecting pins 13C. The connecting pin 13C of the required stage is disconnected and the upper housing cases 8 are rotated integrally around the hinge 12 in the case of connecting the fiber of the main optical cable 13 and the fiber of the other branch cable and housing the surplus length into the housing. Only the housing case of the necessary stage is then opened and the rest are held closed; therefore, workability is improved.
