PURPOSE:To reduce a residual solvent and to prevent blocking by forming at least one heat-meltable transfer layer to a base material using a transfer material containing a dye and a specific amount of a filler not dissolved in the material of the transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:As a thermal transfer material, 10-50wt.% of a dye and 1-30wt.% of a filler not dissolved in the material of a transfer layer are contained. As the dye, for example, a direct dye, an acidic dye and a basic dye can be used and, when the dye is used in an opaque material, a dye suitable for shading capacity is selected. As the filler, for example, inorg. pigment and org. pigment can be used. The transfer material is one formed by providing a transfer material containing the dye, the filler and, further, a heat-meltable film forming material and thermally transferrable at about 50-130 deg.C to a base material film and, as the base material film of the thermal transfer material, a polyester film or a polycarbonate film is used. |
