PURPOSE:To control pile length automatically and in a short time by regulating an amount of reed liberated or rocking torque of tension roller in the direction to eliminate deviation between actual feed speed ratio of warp and pile warp and the target speed ratio corresponding to target pile length. CONSTITUTION:During weaving, actual feed speed of warp and pile warp is measured by a speed calculator and the result is inputted into a pile ratio calculator. A pile ratio corresponding to feed speed ratio of the warp and the pile warp calculated by the pile ratio calculator based on the inputted data is inputted into a comparator, compared with a target pile ratio corresponding to previously inputted and set target pile length and an amount of reed liberated or rocking torque of tension roller for pile warp is controlled in the direction to eliminate the deviation between the pile ratio and the target pile ratio. |
