PURPOSE:To protect persons in a car at a collision by providing shock absorbing pots between a steering wheel and a steering shaft so as to absorb an impact energy by means of the pots. CONSTITUTION:A wheel connecting pot 5 is secured to a spoke 2 of a steering wheel in an integrated form with rivets. A shaft connecting pot 6 is fixed to a steering shaft 4 by a fixing member 11. Said connecting pots 5, 6 are joined by a sheared rivet 7 and a bolt 8 which is driven through a long hole made through the pot 5. |
